Plugin for Figma · Coming soon to Figma Community

Reset any image. Reuse any look.

Image Toolkit is a Figma plugin with two tools. Put a cropped or resized image back to its original size in one click, and copy color adjustments to other images without replacing them.

  • One-time purchase
  • No subscription
  • No network access
  • English and Japanese

Two small jobs that take too long in Figma.

"What size was this image again?"

After cropping, stretching, and scaling, getting back to the original size and aspect ratio usually means placing the image again or working out the numbers by hand.

"I only wanted the color, not the picture."

Copying an image fill brings the image along with its adjustments. Matching a look across a set of photos often means entering seven values over and over.

One plugin. Two tools you'll use every day.

Both work on a single image, a multiple selection, or a whole frame. Try them below.

Tool 1

Restore original image size

Reset an image to 100% in one click. The layer returns to the full width and height of the image stored in Figma, with the original aspect ratio and no crop.

  • Removes crops, stretching, and scaling
  • Keeps color adjustments and opacity
  • Keeps the layer's top-left position and rotation
  • Shows the restored size when you run it on one image

Tool 2

Copy image adjustments, not the image

Copy the color adjustments from one image and paste them onto others. The destination keeps its own picture and crop, and takes on the new look.

  • Exposure, contrast, saturation, temperature, tint, highlights, and shadows
  • Paste onto many images at once
  • Copied values stay available in other Figma files
  • Keeps the destination image, crop, and opacity

How to use Image Toolkit

Three steps, and nothing to set up.

  1. Get the plugin

Buy Image Toolkit on the Figma Community and add it to your account.

  2. Open the panel

In a Figma design file, go to Plugins and choose Image Toolkit > Open panel.

  3. Select and click

Select your images, then click a button in the panel.

Restore original size

  1. Select one or more images.
  2. Click Restore original size.

Good to know

  • The image grows or shrinks from the layer's top-left corner.
  • Any rotation applied to the image inside its fill is removed.
  • If a frame has an image as its fill, the frame itself is resized and its children follow their constraints.
  • An image set to fill its container in auto layout changes to a fixed size, and can become larger than its parent.
  • An image hidden by a clipping frame or mask stays hidden by it.
  • Image fills on text layers are not supported.

Copy and paste adjustments

  1. Select the image with the look you want and click Copy.
  2. Select the destination images and click Paste.

Good to know

  • Pasting replaces all seven values. A value of 0 in the source becomes 0 in the destination.
  • If several images are selected when you copy, the first image found is used.
  • If a layer has several image fills, the top visible fill is copied, and pasting applies to all of them.
  • Images on strokes and videos are not supported.

Works the same across both tools

  • Select several images, or a frame or group, to process every image inside.
  • To undo, close the panel, then press ⌘Z or Ctrl+Z.
  • Run either tool from the plugin menu without opening the panel.
  • Switch the panel between English and Japanese with the button at the top right.

Frequently asked questions

Is there a Figma plugin that copies image adjustments without changing the image?

Yes. Image Toolkit copies only the exposure, contrast, saturation, temperature, tint, highlights, and shadows values from one image and pastes them onto others. The destination image, its crop, and its opacity stay as they are.

How do I restore an image to its original size in Figma?

Select the image, open Image Toolkit, and click Restore original size. The layer returns to the full width and height of the image stored in Figma, and any crop is removed.

Why does copying and pasting in Figma replace my image?

When you copy an image fill or its properties, the image itself travels with the adjustment values. Image Toolkit copies only the values, so the image you paste onto is kept.

Can I process several images at once?

Yes. Select several images, or a frame or group, and Image Toolkit processes every image in the selection.

Will restoring the size change my color adjustments?

No. Color adjustments, opacity, and the rotation of the layer stay as they are. The crop and any rotation applied to the image inside its fill are removed.

What does "original size" mean for very large images?

It is the size of the image as stored in Figma. If Figma reduced a very large image when it was imported, the restored size is the size Figma kept.

Is Image Toolkit a subscription?

No. Image Toolkit is a one-time purchase through the Figma Community. You pay once, and the plugin stays available on the Figma account you bought it with.

Can I get a refund?

Figma handles purchases and refunds for the Figma Community. You can request an automatic refund within 24 hours of buying. Requests after that are at Figma's discretion.

Does Image Toolkit send my files anywhere?

No. The plugin has no network access. It cannot send your files, images, or personal information anywhere. Read the privacy policy.

What languages does Image Toolkit support?

The plugin panel is available in English and Japanese, and you can switch between them at any time.
